This week I was invited to visit the team at San Diego Living on The CW Channel 6 in San Diego to talk happiness tips, Operation Happiness, and healthy snacks that boost our joy. You can catch the segment here.
Happiness expands when we’re willing to take action to create it. There was a time in my life when I thought happiness was just supposed to happen to me. I thought it would come from the next accomplishment, new outfit, or relationship. My life changed when I took responsibility for my own happiness, and then through my efforts to create it, discovered something amazing: Happiness is not just a choice or a feeling, it’s actually a skill that we can learn and become good at!
When I realized that I’d simply never learned how to be happy, and started approaching it as a skill and an activity I needed to practice, that’s when life opened up in incredible ways. I began discovering and implementing all the elements that make up sustainable happiness and created a new, light-filled way of living.
I remember reading various articles about different things that can improve happiness and well-being such as learning things like how can travelling make your life better and why eating healthy improves your mindset. I adopted many different methods to get myself out of my comfort zone and learn how to be happier in my life.
I share all those elements, along with personal stories from my own journey, as well as powerful tools and happiness habits in my new book, Operation Happiness – The 3-Step Plan to Creating a Life of Lasting Joy, Abundant Energy, and Radical Bliss.
