    Lately I’ve been making an effort to be very mindful about protecting my energy. So I thought I’d share a few thoughts about how you can tap into higher levels of protecting your energy. This is especially important when you have a lot happening and have to be careful not to become depleted (which is so me right now). For much of my life I wasn’t a very confident pe For much of my life I wasn’t a very confident person. Partially because I’d never learned that self-confidence is a muscle that needs to be worked on and strengthened with intention. But, I finally learned the keys, did the work, and never looked back. And, the good news is that anyone can work on it and build more confidence fairly quickly with a few key practices! 

Here are 3 of my favorite tips for building stronger self-confidence:

✅ Celebrate your wins! In a journal or on a piece of paper, write down 10 of your greatest accomplishments and then celebrate them. You might be surprised at just how much you’ve forgotten to give yourself credit for. We’re often so focused on fears and past mistakes that we forget to hold on to our wins. Recognizing and focusing on the wins, small and large, builds confidence. Make it a regular practice to celebrate even the tiniest wins.🎉

✅ Get highly intentional about keeping promises to yourself. Show up for your goals consistently and do the things you promise yourself you’ll do. Start by making a small promise to yourself each morning for that day, and then keeping it (such as doing an activity that makes you feel good about yourself). This trains your brain that you’re a person who shows up and can be counted on. You’ll build self-trust, elevate your self-image, and increase your confidence.💃🏻

✅ Practice and become good at positive self-talk. Don’t say anything about yourself that you wouldn’t say about someone you love, because you ARE someone you love. 
Words matter in huge ways. Try writing out 10 positive “I AM” statements that you believe, such as “I am resourceful,” “I am a good friend,” etc. Then work those statements into regular your self-talk vocabulary.🧐 

Confidence, self-image, and self-worth are a major part of the foundation for creating and living the life we desire.❤️
